From the series Worried Landscapes, 2013-

Worried Landscapes is a series of landscape photography from Hordaland where I am inspired by national romantic paintings from Western Norway made in the 19th and 20th century. I am drawn to the way artists J.C. Dahl (1788-1857), Nikolai Astrup (1880-1928) and Bernt Tunold (1877-1946) let their inner moods manifest in the landscape, and how the weather affects their compositions. With this, I compose my own inner experiences of the western Norwegian landscape, while at the same time documenting that they are undergoing rapid changes due to global warming.
